Ultra-Marathon
The marathon where 255 athletes competed and which consisted of 11 km Seleukeia, 35 km Oymapınar and 80 km Nashira stages began with a start in front of Manavgat Waterfall. European Champion Ahmet Arslan also competed in the 80 km stage and Mehmet Yavuz, Murat Kaya, and Bakiye Duran, who were also running in the ultra marathons, were among the names who competed in the marathon. In the marathon, General Manager Harun Bilgiç and department managers, as well as other staff of Nashira Hotel, attended with Nashira Hotel’s Owner Hüseyin Aydoğan.
The founding father of the race, sports conditioner, coach Etem Şeker said that although this is the first marathon, there was good participation and stated that with the marathon they organized the participants entered into an adventure extending to the Hellenistic and Roman period in Manavgat district of Antalya. Stating that he believes that the number of participants will increase in the coming years, Şeker said “Although it was the first one, there was good participation. I think that we will continue to multiply this number by 3 or 4 in the following years. In the coming years, our organization will continue with more experience. Our main sponsor is Nashira Hotels. We named our marathon as the Nashira Ultramarathon. Organizing a race with a name is very different. I would like to thank Mr. Hüseyin Aydoğan, the owner of Nashira Hotels for supporting sports and athletes in this organization.”

Our Nashira Manavgat Cycling Team came in 3rd in the master category of Turkey Championship of 1st leg road races with scores, which were held between 11-14 February in Alanya. On the second day in the criterion race, our athletes made good teamwork and contributed to Mutlu Erçevik’s 3rd place.
Hüseyin Aydoğan, the chairman of Nashira Resort Hotel, who organized the first press cup tennis tournament in the Manavgat district of Antalya, said: ” We are trying to take tennis to the peak by spreading the sport through the base. Our biggest aim is to train sportspeople whose names are known across Turkey, and even across the globe. To this end, we need to attract children and young people to the courts. our goal is to enable at least 10 young people from each neighborhood of Manavgat to play tennis” and emphasized the importance of tennis sport for Nashira Resort Hotel.
